Founded in 2003, the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) is a non-profit trade association representing companies in employment and tenant background screening. Its initial members aimed to establish high ethical and performance standards for the industry. Today, PBSA has over 880 member companies worldwide, from Fortune 100 firms to local businesses, conducting millions of background checks annually.
